FAQ
Do you provide a free consult?
Yes, consults are at no-cost, take place by phone and last about 15 minutes. This is a time where you as the potential client are able to ask questions and get an understanding of what therapy may be like. I will also ask questions to understand if I will be a good clinical fit for your needs.
The next step is for you to schedule while on the phone or reach out once you decide to schedule. Click HERE to schedule.

How long does a session last, and how long will I be in therapy?
One session typically lasts 50 minutes.
There is no right amount of time to stay in therapy. It all depends on the concern itself, the modality I am using, frequency of sessions etc. Some folks stay in therapy for years, and others only attend when a concern pops up. We will check-in throughout sessions to understand if the timeline fits for you, and adjust accordingly.

What is your experience?
I have completed a graduate degree in Counseling, including over 2000 hours of post graduate counseling experience.
I frequently attend trainings and continuing education courses surrounding various therapy topics. I have also completed EMDR training.

Do you offer substance use, court ordered therapy, or crisis services?
No, I do not offer, and do not specialize in court ordered therapy, substance use, or 24 hour crisis services.
While I do not offer 24 hour crisis services; when we work together I do often have last-minute appointments available for those times when life gets unexpectedly stressful.
For mental health emergencies please use the following for immediate care: Nearest emergency room, 911, call or text 988 which is the national mental health crisis line.

What happens in the first session?
We will review some standard questions, and likely dive into the concern that brought you to therapy.
